ABOUT THE TEACHER...
AMY MARSHALL
Amy Marshall is a professional artist, accomplished in a number of mediums including: oils, acrylics, watercolour, charcoal, ink and mixed media- as well as having interests in crafts such as jewellery making, needle felting and digital photography.
Amy arrived in Australia from her previous home in Austin, Texas, USA in 2001 and spent the next couple of years completing a Diploma of Graphic Design (now known as Communication Arts) at RMIT. Whilst at RMIT, Amy also participated in a number of extra–curricular art and design competitions, exhibitions and seminars.
Prior to arriving in Australia, Ms. Marshall exhibited her art at a number of private and public locations in Texas and taught art at the Settlement Home, a highly regarded community facility in Austin as well as attending classes herself at Austin Community College.
Along with teaching at the Academy of Creative Arts in 2008, Amy will be preparing her own works for an exhibition later in the year.
