Michelle Perera

A naturally gifted vocalist, Michelle Perera is a passionate and soulful singer with a dynamic range. Her consistently high powered and soulful performances have earned her a reputation for being able to move and captivate an audience 

Michelle Perera’s talents began emerging from a very early age, and was singing and dancing at the Johnny Young Talent School by the age of 5. During her early teen years Michelle was influenced by the music of the 60’s & 70’s (specifically Motown), and hip-hop. After years of privately developing her vocal abilities, Michelle joined the Jaanz School of Singing, where within 3 years of training, she reached the Elite level of singing, and was described by David Jaanz as having the voice of “a young Whitney Houston”. Michelle has been singing for the last 14 years, with choirs, vocal groups, bands, and as a soloist at a variety of functions, concerts and charity events at venues such as Bennigans, Chapel off Chapel, Caramel, Shine and Robert Blackwood Hall. She has also been singing with the worship teams at CityLife Church for a number of years. 

Michelle is passionate about helping people to grow and develop. She is currently teaching singing from a private studio, (where she also conducts workshop and holds recitals) at schools and is working part-time for the National Children’s Choir of Australia. 

SILVIO STEFAN

Silvio Stefan is a qualified instrumental, singing and classroom teacher. He holds a Bachelor of Music (honours) specialising in Violin Performance (National University of Music from Bucharest, Romania) and a Graduate Diploma of Education (Monash University, Dean’s Honours List). Since 2003, Silvio has been teaching classroom music and individual instrumental music (firstly: violin, piano, singing from beginners to VCE and beyond, and secondly: flute, clarinet, cello, guitar, trumpet and drums from beginners to AMEB exam grade/level 4) to primary and secondary students. 

As a result of his enthusiasm, high level of teaching and natural rapport building skills, enrolments for his music classes at his current and previous teaching positions have flourished significantly.
